Information: FAQs

  • The ‘My Account’ feature is available only to teachers.
  • Teachers must use their school email address in order to register.
  • Teachers who have put our books on their booklists may download supports for classroom use e.g., extra exam questions and practice worksheets.
  • Individual codes are issued. They are single-use codes.
  • Student codes are for App use only and will not allow any audio access through our Weblink.
  • For security reasons, the App codes are released only through school email addresses.
  • Click on the App tab at the top of this page for download and registration instructions.
  • Registrations using a non-school email will be deleted. 
  • Codes added to a registration that is then deleted, will be lost.  
  • There is a cost attached to obtaining replacement codes, if the fault is the user’s. 
  • The code for an e-book licence may be obtained only when the e-book /textbook is on the school booklist.
  • The JC Tones Textbook is accompanied by the e-Book version of the book.
  • Details about licences for the e-Books are outlined in the Shop area.
  • An e-Book for the LC Notes Textbook is available, by request, to anybody who purchases that book.
  • Invoices are created only for school orders of student books.
  • Payment is by EFT only. The correct account (outlined on our invoice) must  be used for payment.
  • Failure to use the correct account will incur a €10 charge, to cover the bank costs.
  • Invoices come with an 4-week free credit period. 
  • Payments made after the free credit period incur a €10 interest charge for every week, or part thereof, that the invoice remains unpaid.
  • The Tones Textbook can be rented or passed down second-hand because the exercises and activities are not completed in the textbook itself.
  • The Tones Textbook app code lasts for the full three-year cycle and can be renewed when necessary if the book is rented. (There is a small streaming fee for renewing the code on rental textbooks.)
  • The Tones Exercise Book is not a stand-alone workbook. Directions to the relevant exercises in the Tones Exercise Book are clearly marked throughout the Tones Textbook (and vice versa).
  • The MEB 2024 mock exam papers will be available for viewing from December 2023.
  • Our LC exam papers with audio are customisable. Teachers choose questions from several options.
  • Solutions are provided in the form of e-Books to schools who use our papers in their mocks.
  • A correcting /feedback service is also available for MEB customers.
  • To access MEB material, teachers need to register / log in with their school email address.
  • Extra questions are available to teachers who are customers, for use with their students. 
  • To access the school order form, teachers or school reps need to register /log in with their school email address.
  • If a school needs to make a small follow-up order for extra books, this can be accommodated. Contact info@higginsandhiggins.ie
  • Quotations may also be requested through the school order form.
  • Students using second-hand or rental books, may acquire audio access through the app for a small streaming fee.
  • As a small company, H and H Music are not in a position to send out complimentary books to every Music teacher.
  • Complimentary teacher copies are available when books on the school booklist. (*This depends on class sizes. Please contact us for details about this.)
